Today Dylan earned his “Green Dragon” belt at Karate. The way the belts work for the Little Dragons, which is the 4-6yr olds, is that they start out with a Yellow Dragon belt, which is a white belt with a yellow stripe (that is how all the Dragon belts are). Then as they learn what they need for the Orange Belt, they get “tips” (a piece of colored electrical tape on th end of there belt). Once they get 4 tips, the next step is the new belt.

The colors are Yellow, Orange, Green, Purple, and Black. The goal is that they reach the Black Dragon by the time they are about 7yrss old which is when they move up to the regular classes and start over with a White belt.
