My buddy Tom Lillis has finally “escaped” from CGS. He handed in his notice last week and will be leaving on Wed Nov 21. Congrats Tom!

Here is your very own Countdown Timer that is counting down to 5:30pm Nov 21

Wow, it has been busy the past week or so. I have started my new job working for Ninth House, today is day 2. So far so good, it looks like I will be spending the better part of the next month just getting up to speed, but that is to be expected. I am really impressed with the quality of the product that Ninth House sells as part of getting up to speeds is taking several of our own courses. Pretty cool stuff.

Also, Dylan started 1st Grade today. He got on the bus and off to school in better shape then his mommy this morning, but that too is to be expected. I will post some pics soon, along with ones from this past weekend when Marissa went into her very own pool.

Before we get on to the much easier Things I will Not Miss About Commuting list, there is one other thing I thought of that I will miss, the 45 minutes down time each way on the LIRR when I would either read or grab a quick nap. That I will miss.

Now on to the things I won’t miss…

In light of this being my last week at CGS and therefore my last week of commuting into NY City I figured I would compose a list of the things I will miss. So without further ado, fanfare, or postulation here is the list of the Top 10 things I will Miss About Commuting.

1. People Watching: You see some very interesting things on the NYC Subway
2. Um…. People Watching
3. Yes, and um, People Watching

Okay, okay. So it is NOT a top 10 list. The only thing about commuting I will actually miss is the people watching. I can’t think of anything else. Later today I will post the list of things I WILL NOT miss about commuting. I think that list will be much easier.

I installed a countdown timer, which you can see all the way to the right. It is counting down to several events. But the most important one, at least in terms of life changing events is this one…

…… until I escape CGS.

I guess it is safe to post this now since I got everything in writing and I am handing in my resignation at CGS tomorrow. I don’t think anyone there reads this. If they do, they will have warning of what is to come. Simply put, I got a new job as a Technical Specialist at a company called Ninth House.
