Everything you never wanted to know about the Neves family
4 Nov
Well today I brought Maxi to a new home. He just wasn’t working out for us. Its not that he is a bad dog, he is just too energetic for our house and not as good with the kids as we need him to be. So we talked to the trainer we had used, Bill (great guy by the way) and he hooked us up with one of his long time friends and dachshund lover Troy. Troy has two doxies, Melvin and Geddy, who are 8yrs old. I brought Maxi over there today and by the time I left an hour later he was quickly becoming buddies with the Melvin and Geddy. And of course Troy is a big softie for the doxies so he loved him right away. It was sad though, especially when he followed me to the gate when I left.
The good news is Troy called a few hours later and told me that Maxi was getting along just fine. Running around the house, chasing the ball, and driving the other two a little nuts, which is what the young guy is supposed to do. I am confident Maxi will be much happier there than the was here locked up int he office with me all day and not having anyone to really play with. But I will miss him a bit. So now we are dog-less again, though Bill is looking for a dog that will fit with our house and needs so I don’t think it will be for long.
